Hart Ranch Family and Friends

We arrived in the afternoon at Hart Ranch Camping Resort, Rapid City, SD on July 1, 2011.

Once we entered the RV park we went to the Registration Building to check in.

Then we went to our site next to our friends Mike and Sue. Char was not too far from us in the Pet Section of the park.

We are very impressed with this RV park. They have spacious greenways.

For the 4th of July, we toured Deadwood, SD (Chuck, Sue, Mike, Char & Joan taking the picture).

After touring Deadwood, we traveled to the next town of Lead, SD for the fireworks display.

A few days later, Sue took us to Custer State Park to meet some new friends.

And some deer friends....

And some of Chuck's relatives.

Mike and Sue took us to Sturgis before bike week.

Mike and Sue took us to Sturgis during bike week. This is Joan getting a helmet adjustment. She now offically can say she had "helmet hair".

Mike and Chuck on Mike's "Goldwing".

We had lunch at the Loud American Roadhouse in Sturgis.

This is what Sturgis looks like during bike week. According to the locals, this was a slow bike week. See if you can find Chuck, Mike and Sue. Click on the picture for a larger image.

Mike and Sue took us touring on the Needles Highway.

Mike and I played golf many times at Hart Ranch Golf course.

My sister Sue and Con visited us at Hart Ranch. In the picture is Chuck, three tomatoes, Con and Sue.

The summer season has ended and it's after Labor Day and all of our friends are leaving Hart Ranch.

Mike and Sue.

Mike and Sue are leaving Hart Ranch.

Goodbye Mike and Sue. We will see you again next year at Hart Ranch Camping Resort.

This summer at Hart Ranch was too short. We did not do or see everything, so we have more things for next year. We enjoyed visiting our friends and family at Hart Ranch. We are staying on for another couple of weeks to see the Buffalo Roundup at Custer State Park.

Stay tuned.

Escapees Escapade Rally,Gillette Wy Aug 26-Sep 2, 2011

We attended the Escapees Rally in Gillette, WY. The name of the rally is Escapade.
Prior to "Escapade" we attended Boot Camp on Friday, August 26, 2011. The Boot Camp was for three days and we graduated on Sunday August 28,2011. Boot Camp is a must do. Boot Camp is about:
1. Learning about what to look for when purchasing a RV, Motor Coach or Tow Vehicle.
2. Fire Safety in a RV.
3. Load and weight management in a RV.
4. General RV maintenance.
5. How to drive and backup a RV.
We should have signed up for boot camp before we even got our first RV. You learn so much.

We will "Reboot" next year.

The next day after Boot Camp was the main event "Escapade" that includes meeting many new friends, attending workshops, attending the market place, and attending The Row. The Row is a room where all of the different Escapee chapters are.

We now have some new wonderful friends Sandy and Ray.

While at the Escapade Rally through one of their Chapters I had a chance to join the Elks. A total of 51 Escapees joined the Elks in Gillette, Wy. This increased the Elks membership in Gillette by 50%. I am now a member of Lodge No. 2825 in Gillette, WY.

We truly enjoyed the Escapees Rally. The Escapees group are wonderful, we received many HUGS. We are planning to attend the next Escapees Rally next year on Sep 16-21,2012 in Sedalia, MO.
